'Skizzen von Anders Wo' / 'Scetches from Somewhere Else'
It's the end of the 90ies.
I was sketching roughly, and as a quite young, deliberate and exploring dilettant, living between New York and Berlin.
I think partly these were tries to 'reinvent' some sort of new and yet rooted and intimate German folk music, a certain 'Liedkultur'. I guess at the time I felt that this kind of stuff, just as common songs and dances, was lacking in German culture.
Well, I tried...sometimes maybe a bit to hard...
However: At some points, imagine taking a ride through some areas of the German soul.
I think it is quite likely that this is who or what you might find.
Recorded on a Tascam 4-track between 1999 and 2001
